I need a nook.
I am looking to create a nook, a reading nook to be exact. I have a big window in my living room and I am picturing a cozy chair, a couple pillows, a lamp and a little table, do you see it? For the last few weeks I have been searching the www for inspiration and craigs list for some good deals for the items listed above.

The Start of Something Wonderful
Maybe since it is the first of December or maybe because there is a lovely blanket of magic whiteness covering everything or maybe because it is the first time I have been home in a long time for whatever reason I have decided to kick this holiday season off with a new tradition. This is sortof a big deal since I am pretty sure this is my first official tradition. Anyway I am still coming up with the perfect name but the working title is....Trim It & Get Sloppy. Let me explain...starting now until ummm how about forever I am going to kick off the Christmas holiday with trimming the tree and some good old sloppy joes. So I have been craving sloppy joes for a couple years now and this was the first year I had a tree in my house for years and so I put two and two together and I feel that it is the start of something magical.It snowed all day, everyone showed up in boots and mittens. The house was warm and smelled of fresh pine and sweetness. I whipped up a sloppy joe recipe from The Pioneer Woman. Her site is full of good eats...check it out and enjoy. I am already looking for a recipe to try next year. any ideas?
It was a day full of friends, coziness, pumpkin cookies, football(makes dudes happy), twinkling lights, laughs, sparkling prettiness and of course sloppy joes. I already can't wait for next year...
